Scope of Services

  • Alberta Builders provides residential, commercial, and industrial construction services in compliance with Alberta Building Code and applicable laws.

  • The scope, pricing, and timeline of any project will be outlined in a formal Construction Agreement, which must be signed before work begins.

Estimates & Payments

  • Any estimates provided are non-binding and subject to changes based on site conditions, material availability, and unforeseen circumstances.

  • Payments must be made according to the terms specified in the signed contract. Late payments may be subject to interest charges as per the Alberta Prompt Payment and Construction Lien Act.

  • Alberta Builders reserves the right to suspend or terminate work for non-payment or breach of contract.

Permits & Compliance

  • Alberta Builders ensures that all projects comply with the Alberta Building Code, municipal zoning laws, and safety regulations.

  • The Client is responsible for obtaining any necessary permits unless otherwise stated in the contract.

Warranties & Liability

  • Alberta Builders provides a one-year workmanship warranty on construction projects, covering defects caused by improper installation or material handling.

  • Manufacturer warranties apply to materials and equipment used in the project.

  • The Company is not liable for damages caused by natural disasters, third-party interference, or Client modifications after project completion.

  • Alberta Builders will not be responsible for incidental or consequential damages beyond the contract value.

Change Orders & Delays

  • Any changes requested by the Client must be in writing and may result in additional costs and extended timelines.

  • Delays due to weather, supply chain issues, or government regulations shall not constitute a breach of contract, and the Company shall not be held liable.

Site Conditions & Safety

  • Clients must provide a safe and accessible worksite.

  • Alberta Builders follows Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations in Alberta to ensure workplace safety.

  • Any hazardous conditions not disclosed before the start of the project may result in additional costs or termination of the contract.

Confidentiality & Privacy

  • Alberta Builders respects client privacy and will not share personal or project-related information without consent, except as required by law.

  • Our website collects user data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which complies with Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

Intellectual Property

  • Any architectural designs, drawings, or blueprints provided by Alberta Builders remain the intellectual property of the Company unless explicitly transferred in writing.

  • Clients may not reproduce, modify, or distribute these materials without permission.

Dispute Resolution

  • In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to seek mediation before pursuing legal action.

  • If mediation fails, disputes shall be resolved under the jurisdiction of the Court of Alberta.

  • Clients retain rights under the Alberta Consumer Protection Act for fair business practices.

Termination of Services

  • Alberta Builders reserves the right to terminate a contract due to non-payment, safety violations, or Client misconduct.

  • Clients may terminate the contract by providing written notice, subject to applicable cancellation fees.

Governing Law

  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada, and any legal proceedings shall be held in the courts of Calgary, Alberta.
